Play Day at our Place

During the summer Marenda, Trina and Liz have set aside each Thursday for the 3 families to get together for summer activities.

The first was Trina's birthday luncheon.
This week they met at our house for a Play Day. We had hoped to put up the big pool but the weather forecasts were predicting storm and cooler weather.

Garth put in poles on the side of the garage where we put up a volley ball net (Only Sheridan wanted to play volley ball so I played with him and Garth, Shanda and Trina played a little). We couldn't coax Drake & Marcus away from the water guns we had bought for each of the children. We also purchased a new toddler pool that ended up being enjoyed by more than just toddlers.

As it turned out, it got hot enough for some fun playing outside. When it seemed we were all overheated and had had enough sun, I brought out the popsicles.

We had no more than finished enjoying our popsicles when we heard thunder and could see storm clouds gathering so we quickly gathered up everything and moved to the house.

It's been fun having Shanda stay with us for a few days while Preston is traveling.

I made bread one day and Talia was my best helper.

First we ground the wheat, then we made the bread.
