Alec's Belated One Year Old Birthday Party

Before everyone arrived for the party on July 22nd, Kira found this cute costume and Trenton thought she was a good target for a little water.

Done in true Kendra Halterman style, the table is set for little people with mini hamburgers, cups with French fries and Catsup, little cups with baby carrots, finger jello in alphabet shapes, melon balls and juice boxes.

The cake is a block with ALEC written on.

The cake was impressive when cut.

The birthday boy thought putting my glasses on his head was the most fun thing to do.

Third Anual Play Day

This year's plays were held on July 18th, 2011 at the Harding "Theater" (back deck).

The first play was, "The Very Fractured Fairy Tales" with Kira Halterman as narrator, Taren Reynolds as Little Red Riding Hood, Kasen Brown as the Wolf, Mitchell Harding as Spiderman, Owen Reynolds as The Prince, Addie Brown as Snow White, Tessa Halterman as Dorothy and Nyah Brown, Eve Harding and Alec Halterman as the three little pigs.

Our second play was titled, "Anansi and the Talking Melon".

This was done with the older grandchildren.

The cast was:

Narrators- Kalen Reynolds and Sheridan Harding
Elephant - Drake Hansen, Anansi the Spider -

Tamlen Reynolds, Hippo - Marcus Harding, Lion King - Alden Reynolds, Zebra - Kira Halterman, Giraffe - Caleb Harding, Bush Deer - Owen Reynolds and Rino Trenton Halterman

Birthday and a Cherry Tree

It seems the summer has been "party time". We enjoyed joining the family at Marenda's place to celebrate Kasen's 4th birthday.

Here he is dressed in the Jake the Pirate costume that we gave him for his birthday.

The party was a success and finished up by a soccer ball pinata and birthday cake.

A little side light- We had a hard rain storm that flooded the street and plugged the storm drain. While we were cleaning it out, Kira, Trenton and Alec Halterman had a great time playing in the water.

WE WON A CHERRY TREE. One day we were shopping at Reams and Garth noticed a drawing and said he was going to fill out a form for it.

Well, We won one of the trees and it was loaded with many kings cherry candy. We "harvested" the cherries and shared them with our grandchildren who were at our house that day.

Owen is Baptized

It was a special time for us to get together on July 10th for the baptism of Owen Reynolds. In order for Trysten, who is working at Disney World to be a part of it, it was held at their home in Orem and Owen was baptized by his father in the jacuzzi in their back yard.

Brian's family and Deren, who conducted, is standing.

We felt very fortunate to be a part of this special time for Owen and his family.

Hansen Family Gathering July 2nd

With Thayne's family leaving the next day and Kendra and children arriving the day before, Saturday, July 2nd, 2011 was a day to enjoy most of our family for a few hours.

Of course we had to have some fun for our grandchildren with water play followed by popsicles

We had to have pictures of our four year olds-
In order of age -
Mitchell Harding
Taren Reynolds
Talia Hickman
Kasen Brown
Tessa Halterman

And our One year olds -

Eve Harding
Nyah Brown
Alec Halterman
Jasper Hickman

41 of family gathered together for a few hours.

We were missing Serena, Blair, Amanda, Stephanie Rosenhan, Trysten Reynolds who is working at Disney World and Barry Halterman, who was unable to be here.

FAMILY IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT!
