On April 29th we took Shanda and her two children with us to Phoenix, Arizona for the birth of Kendra Halterman's 4th child
Things couldn't have worked out better had be been allowed to plan it. Kendra had 3 different due dates - the 26th of April, the first of May and the 4th of May.
We traveled on Thursday, April 29th, had Friday to put the house in order and prepare for the
home birth of the baby.
Kendra went into labor around 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning and Alec was born at 12:45 p.m. that day.The children helped bake a cake for the baby's birthday though he doesn't care much at this point.
Kira & Tessa get acquainted with their new little brother.
Sunday - May 2, Garth and I are admiring our newest little grandson.
Kira couldn't wait to hold her little brother. She will be a great big sister.
Alec Garth Halterman is only a day old here.
Little Tessa was my special charge during our stay there and she loved all of the attention.
We had put Tessa down on our bed to take a nap. This was what I found some time later - She had decided to empty my bag and was having a great time.
Aunt Shanda is holding Tessa and Alec.
Wednesday evening I got to go with Kira to a Primary girls' Mother/Daughter dinner.
The girls were told to make up the desserts for their "Mothers". Didn't Kira make a beautiful treat?
Garth is showing me part of the two level planter he was making for the front of the house.
Shanda and Garth took Tessa, Talia and Milo to the water park.
What do you think of these bathing beauties?
Tessa and Talia enjoy the sun.
It came time for us to leave. We took Shanda and children to
Montecello, Utah where Preston met us. We had a couple of hours to rest from driving while we waited.
Talia is the Princess in the castle. She was shinging, "My Daddy's lost. "
